So now I can afford last year's lifestyle, congratulations to me

I'm trying to follow the classic boomer advice to 'invest in real estate'

but the only property I can afford is a timeshare in my parents' basement

I'm really trying to plan for the future.

My long-term plan is just to survive long enough to see the next season of whatever I'm binging.

My company says 'we're a family here.'

Which explains why I'm emotionally exhausted and constantly planning my escape.
