I was trying to teach my kids about gardening, and we planted a small tree in our backyard. They were excited to see it grow, and we started talking about the different types of trees you can plant. I asked my kids what they thought our tree would look like in a few years, and they said

it would be a tree-mendous success!

My computer just coughed, I think it has a byte-er infection.

I was helping my kids with their science project, trying to grow crystals in a jar. We carefully mixed the solution and waited for what felt like forever for the crystals to form. As we were observing the jar, I started thinking about the process of crystal formation and how it's all about finding the right balance of ingredients and conditions.

I guess you could say it was a 'gem' of a project!

So I was out in the garden trying to plant some new flowers today. I accidentally dug up a whole bunch of old potatoes that had been left in the ground from last year.

I guess you could say it was a real 'spud' awakening!
