Dad's been working on the same home improvement project for months
I'm starting to think his idea of 'completion' is just being able to find all the tools he needs to finish it
More Father's Day Jokes
My dad's love language is apparently 'home improvement projects'
because this Father's Day, he's 'hammering' home the point that I'm helping him finish the deck... again.
I asked my dad what he wanted for Father's Day this year.
He said, 'An afternoon alone with the lawnmower, and no one questioning my stripe patterns.'
I once told my dad he didn't say 'I love you' enough.
He just walked over, silently fixed the leaky faucet I'd been ignoring for weeks, and then left a freshly brewed cup of coffee on my desk. And you know what? I've never felt more loved.
My dad always said his greatest talent was being able to fix anything around the house.
And while he did master everything from leaky faucets to wobbly chairs, his real superpower was always knowing how to fix a bad day, usually with a groan-worthy dad joke and a hug that somehow glued everything back together.
